  • We believe in one God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • We believe the Old and New Testament Scriptures, inspired by God, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living
  • We believe man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil.
  • We believe the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
  • We believe the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
  • We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
  • We believe our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

our historY

The Church of the Nazarene traces its anniversary date to 1908. Its organization was a marriage that, like every marriage, linked existing families and created a new one. As an expression of the holiness movement and its emphasis on the sanctified life, our founders came together to form one people. Utilizing evangelism, compassionate ministries, and education, their church went forth to become a people of many cultures and tongues. Two central themes shed light on our history as a denomination in the Wesleyan/Armenian tradition - Unity in Holiness and a Mission to the World.
